As children of God, we are aware of our connectedness
with others in God's family -- especially those who are in times of
special need. The people of Trinity are active in a number of ways to
share the gifts and blessings they have received with others:
- Blood
drives in participation with other churches in Brewster.
- Friends
of Karen - an organization to support families coping with the
extraordinary emotional and financial demands that come when a child is
chronically or critically ill.
- Prison
ministry - at holidays and several times a year, baskets of cookies or
toiletries are prepared for inmates.
-
Community Action Program - donations of canned goods and non-perishable
items are collected for the local food pantry.
-
Midnight Run - sandwiches, toiletries and clothing are distributed to
the homeless in NYC
- Souper
Bowl of Caring - worshippers are encourged to donate $1 or a canned good
as they leave church on Super Bowl Sunday. This nationwide effort
collected $8,077,560
in 2007.
-
Operation Christmas Child - providing shoeboxes of toys, school supplies
and hygiene items to children around the world.
- The Brewster
Emergency Shelter Partnership.
